Race for the Cure Seeks Raffle Selling Volunteers
MANCHESTER, VT –
The Komen VT/NH Race for the Cure® is in need of volunteers to man
the tables and sell some raffle tickets in Manchester, Vermont, in advance
of this year’s race.
The dates and places
are: May 22 and July 3 in front of the Lilly Pulitzer store on Main
Street and May 29 and June 26 in front of Shaw’s Supermarket,
likewise on Manchester’s Main Street.
Anyone who’d
like to help out on any or all of those dates – they needn’t
be available the whole day – can download a Volunteer Sign-Up
form from vtnhkomen.org (under Race for the Cure tab), email Volunteer
co-Chair Susan Stuermer at sstique@yahoo.com, or call her at 802-375-6987.

Through events like
the Komen VT-NH Race for the Cure – this year’s race is
on Saturday, July 17, at Hildene Meadows – the VT-NH Affiliate
has netted more than $6.7 million in 18 years. Of that, more than $1.7
million supported Komen’s research program and more than $5 million
underwrote breast cancer education, screening and treatment in Vermont
and New Hampshire.
